How To Earn Money Fast For Kids Online - Antique Binoculars - Our Family's Antique Binoculars
A couple of years ago my dad came across a pair of binoculars that had been purchased by my grandpa while he was in Germany during World War II. Antique binoculars make a wonderful keepsake not only to use but to preserve as a family heirloom. Many families have treasures that are special to them because they have been passed down from one generation to the next.
I searched for them but finally gave up assuming they were forever lost. I was heartbroken because I lost these antique binoculars while on that camping trip. But without my dad's permission, i guess I should tell you I borrowed them, well! I borrowed the binoculars from my dad to take on an upcoming camping trip. The frame and the case are made from solid brass which makes them heavier but they have definitely withstood the test of time. They are absolutely the most beautiful binoculars I have ever seen.
I made sure I wasn't outbid on the auction and they waited impatiently for them to arrive in the mail. They weren't the same pair I had lost but the same exact model. They looked very similar to those that I had "borrowed" for my camping trip. One item that caught my eye immediately was a pair of antique binoculars. Fast forward a couple of years and one day I was looking at some online auction sites.
I placed them in a safe place at home and eagerly looked forward to the Christmas holiday that was quickly approaching. There was no sense of distortion with the images at all. I was able to see amazingly well through these antique binoculars. I decided to polish them up and then put them to good use. I was very excited when they were finally delivered.
Upon going back into the house my dad placed the binoculars into the box and gave them to my son with a smile on his face. This wasn't to be the case, however. We both knew they were quite durable and he would be able to get plenty of use out of them. He was very impressed by the clarity of the binoculars. He quickly took them outside to try them out. Nothing compared to the antique binoculars I gave him, of all the gifts my dad received that Christmas.
